Paris can safely be called one of the cities in the world that are oversaturated with hotels. From cheap hotels to five-star boutiques, the city has everything a traveler could want. The only question is: how to choose? After all, an unfortunate stopover can ruin even the most magical of travel experiences. Check out this guide to the best hotels in Paris: budget, boutique, luxury – here are the best options for temporary stays in the city's most diverse neighborhoods.

1. Shangri-La Hotel Paris, 16th arrondissement

A beautiful spa hotel with most rooms overlooking the Eiffel Tower and the Seine, this hotel is ideally located on Avenue d'Yen. The elegant rooms, decorated by renowned craftsmen, are complemented by a magnificent spa complex with a 15-meter pool. Outside, Asian-inspired gardens with exotic and rare plants await guests for a stroll, making Shangri-La Hotel a harmonious blend of nature and urbanism. The hotel's restaurants deserve special mention: L'Abeille, with typical French cuisine and two Michelin stars; Bauhinia, serving Asian and French specialties; and another Michelin star winner, Shang Palace, with a menu of Cantonese cuisine.

2. L'Echiquier Opera Hotel, 4th arrondissement

This luxurious 4-star hotel in Paris is part of the MGallery collection of boutique hotels, inspiring "lovers of life, culture, and literature". It is a couple of steps from the famous Folies-Bergère variety show and the iconic Grand Rex cinema. Once a hunting lodge, then a monastery, it was home to Victor Hugo, Gustave Flaubert, and Honoré de Balzac before being revitalized in 2015 as a chic hotel. The 88 rooms greet guests with linen laminated wallpaper, lacquered wood headboards, bright red velvet curtains, and marble pedestal tables. The gems of the hotel are the Beer Restaurant in the style of the Belle Epoque and the beautiful winter garden with rattan furniture – the perfect place to relax and enjoy a morning coffee with freshly baked madeleine cookies.

3. Hotel The Peninsula Paris, 16th arrondissement

This century-old building, now home to arguably the most luxurious hotel in Paris, has opened its doors to temporary guests before, in the days of the chic Hotel Majestic. Famous guests such as Picasso, Marcel Proust, Stravinsky, and George Gershwin stayed here. The building then housed UNESCO headquarters until it was replaced in 1958 by the International Convention Center, where the treaty to end the Vietnam War was signed. Today, past a pair of imposing lions at the entrance, you enter one of the most beautiful hotels in Paris with a décor as rich as the history of the place: the Versailles-style main hall is decorated with exquisite moldings, marble and a huge Lasvit chandelier, the 34 rooms and suites are strikingly decorated (the black-and-white marble bathrooms with TV are worth the price) and modern technology, such as gadgets to control the temperature, curtains, lights, etc. The hotel offers guests a splendid spa-like experience. The hotel offers a magnificent spa, swimming pool, three restaurants, and an old-fashioned bar, a cigar-smoking room, and a 360-degree view of the Eiffel Tower from the top floor.

4. Saint-James Paris, 16th arrondissement

The extravagant Saint-James Paris Hotel occupies a converted 19th-century mansion and sits on the site where the world's first hot air balloon field once stood. Completely remodeled by Laura Gonzalez, the hotel offers guests a delightful journey through time and an immersion in the typical Parisian art of living. Unlike most of the coolest hotels in Paris, it has an excellent variety for accommodation. The collection of uniquely designed rooms and suites, reminiscent of a collector's home, strikes a masterful blend of Art Deco spirit and modern details. It is complemented by separate private three-storey houses for families or couples and new apartments in a separate villa next to the hotel, whose guests have access to all the services and facilities of Saint-James Paris (terrace and garden, Bellefeuille restaurant, Guerlain Spa, bar-library, health and fitness centers, etc.).

5. Maison Souquet, 9th arrondissement

The past of this hotel is certainly colorful and even adventurous: once a brothel, it retains the atmosphere of the Pigalle era. Now behind the discreet facade is hidden one of the most marvelous hotels in Paris, surprising with its oriental spirit of "One Thousand and One Nights": Moorish earthenware, cordovan leather walls from 1895, porcelain and 26 rooms and suites that define "chic". Each is individually decorated in global themes (Indian, Japanese, Chinese, etc.) that harmonize with the hotel's unified aesthetic. Guests are invited to immerse themselves in great entertainment: enjoy cocktails in the bar or treatments in the spa and pool to solidify the experience of the real Paris, not what you see on soulless postcards.

6. Le Cinq Codet, 7th arrondissement

This magnificent hotel, designed by Jean-Philippe Nouel, will especially delight connoisseurs of the beautiful, as it has a collection of 400 works of art. It is located in the 7th arrondissement, which may not be the most popular location for first-class hotels in Paris, but it has nevertheless managed to successfully gain the prestige of a 5-star haven. The incredible architecture of this building on the modest rue Louis Codet, with its curved lines and huge bay windows, is reminiscent of an ocean liner, while the decoration of the 29 bright rooms, filled with a palette of warm hues and wood, complements the serene atmosphere. The hotel has a spa, and a restaurant with access to a beautiful patio where you can enjoy an intimate dinner on comfortable sofas, a gym and a hammam, and the panorama of Paris from the suites on the top floor will make you forget everything.

7. Le Narcisse Blanc & Spa, 7th arrondissement

Located between the Maison des Invalides and the Eiffel Tower, one of Paris' most charming spa hotels, Narcisse Blanc allows its guests to observe the beauty of the city from their windows while staying away from the hustle and bustle of the streets. Its interiors are inspired by 20th century photographic icon Cleo de Merode, a dancer and muse to many famous artists including Degas, Proust and Nadar, who led a secretive and mysterious life. References to her can be found in portraits on the walls, names and rooms of the hotel. Rooms in delicate cream colors display understated luxury, while Art Deco and Art Nouveau elements harmonize with modern furnishings and delightful fabrics. Hotel facilities include a spa center with swimming pool, sauna, hammam and Jacuzzi and stunning terraced gardens.

8. MGallery Molitor, 16th arrondissement

The opening of this hotel once caused quite a sensation as it was the site of the famous Art Deco swimming pool, which was closed in 1989 for the next 20 years. But two years of colossal renovation have transformed this iconic establishment into a chic complex with one of the best 5-star hotels in Paris, a spa and a restaurant. Its mustard yellow façade catches the eye from afar, and guests are greeted at the entrance by an open-top Rolls-Royce Corniche decorated by artist JonOne. All rooms overlook the famous 48 meter long outdoor pool, particularly impressive at night. The interior of the hotel is filled with historical references. There's also a giant Clarins spa, a yoga club, a gym and an exhibition space for shows inside.

9. Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris, 8th arrondissement

It's a place to fall in love with at first sight, so once you've been here, you may not want to look for other luxury Paris hotels. The Royal Monceau is a stone's throw from the Champs Elysees, and its exquisite Philippe Starck décor is stunning. There is art everywhere, from the art concierge service and art gallery to the summer gem, a garden by landscape designer Louis Benec and its own 99-seat movie theater. The 149 rooms and suites are complemented by mirrored bathrooms, and amenities include a spa with one of the largest pools in Paris hotels and 2 restaurants: Matsuhisa with Japanese-Peruvian cuisine and Michelin-starred Il Carpaccio serving haute Italian cuisine. Special mention must be made of Pierre Hermé's fabulous brunch and arguably the best pastries in town.

10. Mandarin Oriental Paris, 1st arrondissement

The hotel, inspired by its Asian origins and its surroundings of haute couture houses and jewelry boutiques, is located in the heart of rue Saint-Honoré. It rejects typical historic Parisian architecture and is one of the "palace" hotels with a stunningly luxurious ambience: a palette of purple, mauve gray and ecru hues, artwork and sculptures, a ceiling adorned with gold leaves and a jungle island-like garden. But the bedrooms impress even more with their unostentatious luxury: dark wood furniture, taffeta curtains, silk-embroidered pillows, and modern furnishings. A suite with a gym, a bathroom with a Jacuzzi, and a bathtub from which you can admire the Eiffel Tower. The only thing that will make you leave your room is the huge two-storey spa with pool, hammam, and spa suites, a stunning terrace with views, and Michelin-starred restaurants.

11. L'Hôtel, 6th arrondissement

A stone's throw from the Seine, this hotel has much to be proud of, including famous guests and a storied past. Its most famous guest was Oscar Wilde, spending the last two years of his life here. Today, his room is a personal suite on the second floor, wallpapered with the poet's favorite animal, the green peacock, with a private terrace where you can spend breakfast in peace and quiet. A few floors above, you can book the daring French singer Mistinguette's room with its original Art Deco mirrored bed. The l'Hôtel Paris is one of the smallest 5-star hotels in Paris, with only 20 rooms. Despite this, it has a Michelin-starred restaurant, a small pool and a bar where you can spend a perfect evening in the tranquility and atmosphere of old-fashioned (in the best sense) glamor, nestled on soft olive-green armchairs.

12. Nolinski Paris, 1st arrondissement

A few meters from the famous Comédie-Française theater, between the Palais Garnier and the lively rue Saint-Honoré, one of the chic 5-star hotels in Paris can be found, designed by probably the most fashionable decorator in France, Jean-Louis Deniot. The couture interior is truly stunning, from the exquisite bespoke furniture to the green Carrara marble reception desk. There are 45 elegant rooms, including 9 suites, spread over 6 floors, offering guests an immersion in sophisticated and tranquil Parisian life. On the first floor you can visit the lively Brasserie Réjane restaurant, popular with tourists, or hide away from the noise in the magnificent dining room. One floor below is the main local attraction, a huge 16-meter pool with subdued lighting, as well as hammam, sauna and spa treatments from Swiss Riviera brand La Colline.

13. Hôtel Costes, 1st arrondissement

One of the most elegant and fashionable places to stay in Paris, it is located in the center of rue Saint-Honoré close to the Tuileries Garden and the Concorde. The hotel was built in 1995 and was designed by Jacques Garcia. The best hotels in Paris are known to locals and tourists alike, and their name alone makes you shudder. Costes is one of the prime examples of this. Stay here if you want to dine on mythical dishes in a famous restaurant, lounge by the pool, relax on the gorgeous patio, dance to DJ sets until the wee hours of the morning, or enjoy an aromatic tea in front of the fireplace in a tranquil atmosphere. Costes offers its guests plenty of entertainment, after which they can return to their super comfortable rooms, worthy of a five-star hideaway.

14. Hotel Paris Bastille Boutet by MGallery, 11th arrondissement

A former carpentry workshop and then chocolate factory turned into a five-star hotel in the trendy Parisian neighborhood of Charonne, a few steps from Place de la Bastille. The talented duo of designer Astrid Dieterlen and architect Vincent Bastier created a beautiful factory-style façade with Art Deco elements and mosaics, while the primary purpose is evoked by the combination of concrete, polished metal and wood. The boldest part of this hotel is its 80 rooms and suites: atypical and unique. Ten of them are complemented by terraces. There's a spa with a pool, hammam and sauna, a fitness room and a bar with light snacks. This is one of the best places to stay in Paris to discover one of the city's oldest neighborhoods: the hotel is located a few steps from the Opera Bastille, the suburb of Saint-Antoine and its many boutiques and the Marais district.

15. Renaissance Paris République, 10th arrondissement

The location of this hotel is ideal: the Grand Boulevards and Canal Saint-Martin are just steps away, and from its top, you can see the statue of Marianne below you in the middle of Place de la Republique. This is one of the most popular hotels for travelers in Paris, as inside everyone will find everything they could need: a designer restaurant and bar, a magnificent terrace with a living wall 254 meters high where you can have the perfect sunrise breakfast or end the day with a drink. There is a fitness room and wellness center on the basement floor to spend some quality time for body and soul: visit the hammam, Sothys treatment center, sauna, or relax in the Jacuzzi. The cozy rooms with large windows and glass-walled bathrooms were designed by Didier Gomez, inspired by the art of the 50s and 60s.

16. Le Meurice, 1st arrondissement

A majestic aura prevails at Le Meurice, one of Paris' top hotels, with ornate Louis XVI-style decor, fashion innovations by Philippe Starck and mosaic floors. It has 160 rooms and suites, with décor inspired by various historical styles. The true luxury of this place is evident in the elegance and prestige of the hotel, as well as the exceptional service. The upper floors offer views of the main sights of Paris, while the Winter Garden allows you to relax to the sounds of jazz. Exceptional moments are created during a visit to the Valmont Spa, and the Michelin-starred restaurant Le Meurice, under the direction of Alain Ducasse, has become a true epicurean address for guests and locals in the French capital.

17. Hotel Montalembert, 7th arrondissement

The Montalembert Boutique Hotel can serve as a model of impeccable quality and the best service of Parisian hotels. It's a dream destination for fashion mavens who come to Paris for Fashion Week: the bathrooms are filled with Molton Brown toiletries, plenty of mirrors, and digital scale sets. The hotel is decorated in a palette of browns, pale grays and olive hues. Everything here looks modern, with only the rattling double elevators creating a hint of old-fashionedness. It was erected in 1926 and was the first 5-star boutique hotel on the left bank. The hotel is notable for its literary aspect and its atmosphere of intimate luxury. It is located in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, so you will be a couple of steps away from the Orsay Museum and the Louvre.

18. Le Pigalle, 9th arrondissement

One of Paris's stylish hotels in a trendy neighborhood brings groups of friends together to chat for hours, sitting on comfy sofas and listening to records, making the front desk always filled with clinking glasses and laughter. The place is still run as a local business, and its entire team is recruited from the surrounding village-like neighborhood of Pigalle. The decor, designed by architects Hugo Soze and Charlotte de Tonnac, is inspired by the neoclassicism of the Nouvelle district in Athens, but some rooms are in the style of Parisian apartments with vintage furniture, a leather-trimmed bar and vinyl players. Collaborations and brands are a key part of the local charm: the kitchen is run by Camille Fourmont of La Buvette, the vinyl is picked up by Victor Kiswell, the furniture is by designer Alexandre Guimain, and the walls are adorned with risqué paintings by Pierre-Ange Carlotti.

19. Grand Pigalle Hotel, 9th arrondissement

As you walk through the corridors of this hotel, you may think that time has stopped: spiral staircases, and velvet carpets, but when you press the golden pineapple hammer, it's as if you've entered another dimension. The decoration by designer Dorothy Meilichzon focuses on details and reflects the intimate atmosphere: brass lamps, light earthenware, moldings, fireplaces, and so on. One of the classic hotels in Paris, the Grand Pigalle has 37 rooms with a romantic atmosphere given by a palette of dark blue colors with touches of gold. Near the hotel are the cocktail bars, lively cabarets, and festive meeting places of Parisians on rue Frochot, rue Henry Monnier, and rue Victor-Masse, and you'll also enter the hotel through a bar with a serious New York vibe. Foodies will appreciate the globalized cuisine of the renowned Frenchie restaurant led by chef and Michelin-starred chef Gregory Marchand, who is inspired by his international travels.

20. Hôtel Amour, 17th arrondissement

This boutique hotel, which has earned a reputation as a stronghold of local fashion since its opening, will open up Paris for lovers. Located in the heart of Sopi, near rue Pigalle, it showcases a theme of love and eroticism. The decor is eclectic, with lots of vintage details, from antique furniture and unusual knick-knacks to more risqué elements like erotic magazines. The hotel has 20 rooms, each unique, and several have art installations, a private bar and a spacious terrace. As with many fine hotels in Paris, its highlight is its famous restaurant with a picturesque secret garden where locals love to hang out. Sister hotel le Grand Hôtel Amour, located at the Gare de l'Orient, is equally impressive.

21. Four Seasons George V, 8th arrondissement

There's no disputing the fact that this member of the top hotels in Paris takes luxury seriously: gorgeous bathrooms, marble and tapestries, chic floral arrangements and the largest rooms in the city with comfortable beds confirm its splendor. The experience is further enhanced by a visit to the Versailles-style spa, whose list of services includes hot tubs, hammam, saunas, a pool, massages, fitness, and a menu of innovative grooming treatments. The hotel was built in 1928 in the Art Deco style and is located in Paris' Golden Triangle, near the Champs-Elysees. Its three restaurants have garnered six Michelin stars, serving the best of French cuisine. After a day of wandering the quaint streets, you can return to your spacious suite overlooking the Eiffel Tower or end the day with a glass of wine from the hotel's patio wine cellar.

22. Grand Hôtel Du Palais Royal, 1st arrondissement

On the surface, this hotel is in keeping with the image of the street on which it is located: quiet and refined in its simplicity. But this impression is shattered once you get inside: classic gilding, high ceilings, Disney princess staircases and so on. Typical of the best hotels in Paris, the Palais Royal has the perfect place to spend time with a glass while in the shadow of the city's most beautiful sights, from the Eiffel Tower to the Sacré-Coeur. Art is also a significant part of the hotel: on its floors, you'll find reproductions of works by Picasso, Miró, Robert Delon, Modigliani, and Matisse, while on the first floor, there are busts of Voltaire, Rousseau, and Diderot, created by students of the Louvre School of Sculpture. Don't miss also the Lulli restaurant and the secret inner courtyard.

23. Mama Shelter, 20th arrondissement

One of Paris' new destination hotels is housed in a massive building with windows on the Flèche d'Or. Inside, guests are greeted by a huge warm, and modern room, and thanks to the gorgeous decor and book collection, there's an immediate sense of home. The rooms are superbly equipped, including an iMac combining radio, TV, and movie streaming service, spacious beds with premium linens, and organic grooming products. The hotel is located between Père Lachaise and artists' studios in the young and cosmopolitan 20th arrondissement of Paris, neighboring small cobblestone streets separated by green spaces. One of the best parts of this hotel is the food: you can sit on the restaurant's cozy large benches, order a house cocktail and signature burger, stop by Mama's Trattoria for a terrific homemade wood-fired pizza, or gaze at the stars and cityscape from the rooftop bar.

24. La Maison Favart, 2nd arrondissement

Lulled by the romance of Paris, La Maison promises its guests a discreetly special stay and the refined French hospitality expected of the city's finest hotels. Located on the edge of one of the most elegant squares in the 2nd arrondissement, on the quiet Rue Marivaux, it has been neighboring the Opéra-Comique since 1824. The hotel's 18th-century decor pays homage to Charles and Justine Favart: the refined vibe of lyrical art remains here, blended with modern freshness. The decor is clean and elegant, combining plaid carpets and pastel colors. Escape the hustle and bustle of Paris and relax your body and mind under the arches of the hotel's wellness center, which offers the relaxing quiet of the spa pool, the pleasant waves of the whirlpool bed, the revitalizing warmth of the sauna, and a secluded fitness room.

25. Hôtel de Montesquieu, 8th arrondissement

On a small hidden street, which you'll find after passing the Champs-Elysees and Saint-Philippe-du-Royal, sits one of the most original hotels in Paris. This mini palace surprises by combining West and East: Chinese wallpaper, Kazakh carpets, Turkish silverware, Syrian knick-knacks, and ebony table tops create a striking but harmonious and elegant mix. The hotel has 36 comfortable rooms decorated in the style of 18th-century Parisian apartments, with stunning views of the Eiffel Tower from some suites. Leave your room to settle into one of the classic armchairs and enjoy afternoon tea: choose which region of the world you'd like to mentally visit and indulge your taste buds. If you want to have a date, visit the chamber's cozy bar.

26. Hôtel Plaza Athénée, 8th arrondissement

At the top of Paris's most luxurious couture hotels, the Plaza consistently maintains its leadership thanks to its shared history with Christian Dior and its proximity to the haute couture houses. The interior of this Avenue Montaigne venue pays homage to its rich history and impressive heritage, with all its details customized by a team of experienced designers with impeccable taste. Every element here looks insanely beautiful: from the bronze furniture, red carpet, and fresh flowers in every vessel, to the bronze and oak in the lobby, the ice rink in the courtyard, and the bar with its fabulous movie atmosphere. With this surrounding splendor on all sides, the restaurants still manage to stand out: with stunning Swarovski chandelier decor, oak tables, and unique art of gastronomy. Be sure to take the time to pamper yourself with a Dior spa experience.

27. La Réserve, 8th arrondissement

The classic building on Avenue Gabriel in the center of Paris' 8th arrondissement was created 150 years ago. Today it houses one of the most unique luxury hotels in Paris, overlooking the Grand Palais and the Eiffel Tower. The interior follows the precepts of unique chic: carved friezes, marble bathrooms, scalloped cornices, tapestries with heraldic lilies, and an abundance of antiques. At La Réserve, guests can pamper themselves with a visit to the spa with a 16-meter pool with bright red loungers, a sauna, and a massage room. The restaurant welcomes you with a menu by Jérôme Bantel, a masterful revision of classic French gastronomy, and privacy, as tables are set far apart. The bar with amazing cocktails is perfect for a relaxed conversation with friends or your significant other, while islands of peace and tranquility can be found in the library or smoking room.

28. Renaissance Paris Vendôme Hotel, 1st arrondissement

In 2005, the global hotel group Marriott envisioned transforming an old-fashioned 200-year-old hotel into the new diamond of Paris. The task proved daunting, as the Place Vendôme on which it sits is filled with luxury five-star "competitors" such as the venerable Ritz, the Asian-inspired Mandarin Oriental, the celebrity-popular Costes, and the elegant Meurice. Despite this, the Renaissance has made a serious impact on the neighborhood and city's hotel scene, presenting a vibrant Art Deco vibe with a mix of '50s elements and modern details. With 97 rooms (including 15 suites), the hotel is characterized by elegant simplicity. The ground floor features a recreation area with a swimming pool, library, gym, cozy bar, a stunning breakfast buffet, and a novelty in the hotel's life – the Kapara Mediterranean restaurant.

29. Hôtel Le A, 8th arrondissement

Although housed in a classic 19th-century Parisian building, Hôtel Le A firmly reproduces modernity with the flamboyant atmosphere of a New York loft. One of the most unusual hotels in Paris is located on a quiet street between Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré and the Champs-Élysées and creates a first impression on guests with abstract watercolor paintings, a huge wall of books, and a bright open fire. Its 25 rooms, with their abundance of light, striped monochrome carpeting, and relaxing watercolors by Fabrice Hiebert, recreate unrivaled minimalist chic. Many rooms have bay windows with views of the Parisian rooftops, and some also have a balcony with seating. A cocktail bar, afternoon tea, and breakfast buffet await you on the first floor.

30. Hôtel Thoumieux, 7th arrondissement

The busy shopping street of Saint-Dominique in the 7th arrondissement has been heavily influenced by the Thoumieux family. The address with number 58 houses a gourmet patisserie, and number 79 houses two restaurants on the first two floors (brasserie and fine dining), as well as a hotel with 15 modern chic rooms. Thoumieux Hotel Thoumieux was acquired by Thierry Coste and the Beaumarli group in 2009. Inside, guests are greeted by graphic wallpaper, geometric carpets, and floral curtains. Despite this diversity, the impression of thoughtful style and harmony is created. Bathrooms are complete with chic marble, Aesop cosmetics, and gorgeous bathroom fixtures by Devon&Devon. Fuel up in the restaurant with a breakfast of gourmet pastries and sliced fruit before heading out for a stroll through the stores of Saint-Dominique.

31. Hôtel du Collectionneur, 8th arrondissement

Even among the most luxurious hotels in Paris, this member of our top has something to boast about: it has one of the largest gardens in the city. Located a few minutes from the Champs-Élysées, Hôtel du Collectionneur impresses guests from the doorstep with its combination of 30s splendor and pure Art Deco. The noble antique materials here harmonize well with modern fabrics and textures. Opposite the lobby is the main highlight - a magnificent garden designed by landscape designer Olivier Riols. This tranquility-filled space covers an area of 800 square meters. The rooms are chic and decorated in an Art Deco style. Taste the contemporary, exceptional cuisine of the Safran restaurant and the creative cocktails of the chic, retro Purple Bar, with its many cozy niches and bay windows opening onto floral terraces, and relax at Spa Mosaic, which offers a Jacuzzi, hammam, and fitness center with a personal trainer on request.

32. MOB Hotel, Saint-Ouen

An entire ecosystem is hidden in Saint-Ouen behind a red brick wall covered in foliage. MOB in Paris was opened by Cyril Auizerat, who also founded Mama Shelter Hotels with Serge Trigano. The hotel has 92 rooms as well as areas for dining, dancing, walking, and reading. Enjoy delicious organic pizzas, watch outdoor movies, do yoga on the rooftop, and watch the work in the city, the produce from which goes to the needs of the hotel's kitchen, following a farm-to-table approach. This vast space makes the perfect setting for a summer vacation: you can have a barbecue or lounge on a lounger with an aperol in hand. Rooms are equipped with French beds, and organic natural cosmetics Bordeaux, some also have private balconies and terraces with seating area and garden views.

33. Hôtel C.O.Q (Community of Quality), 13th arrondissement

Style is paramount here, so it's no surprise to see Memphis light fixtures, Farrow & Ball paint on the walls, Zanotta furniture, and the name C.O.Q on a list of the trendiest hotels in Paris. This hotel has 51 modern rooms whose decor combines designer solid wood furniture with 50's decor and various knick-knacks. The dining room is particularly impressive for lovers of stylish design: it is something between a Scandinavian living room filled with artifacts and a kunstkamera. Carpets, medicine jars, art books, insects under glass, globes - the interior can be viewed for hours, constantly discovering something new. It is complemented by plants, comfortable chairs, a fireplace, and a vinyl player, creating the perfect place to spend an evening quietly relaxing with a drink or start the day with a complimentary breakfast.

34. Hôtel Bourg Tibourg, 4th arrondissement

The Bourg Tibourg has a lot in common with another of the best Parisian hotels on this list, the Hôtel Costes: same owners, same interior designer. But that doesn't mean it looks like a miniature copy of it. Its foundation is Jacques Garcia's neo-Gothic, Byzantine décor: luxurious fabrics, kitschy design details that combine with bold colors and motifs with Chinese and Japanese influences to create a maximalist Baroque paradise. The attention to detail extends to the rooms, with retro-style light fixtures, sleek patterns, and wood-paneled bathrooms with black granite floors. The location in the chic Marais neighborhood is just right for enjoying its charming terrace cafes and trendy boutiques. A continental breakfast is served in the luxurious downstairs lounge, and a small bar in the lobby serves drinks.

35. Hôtel Anne d'Anjou, Saumur

The location of this hotel puts guests 5 minutes from the center, yet still offers a sense of safety from the hustle and bustle so essential for hotels in major metropolitan areas like Paris. It occupies a magnificent 18th-century mansion on the banks of the river near the foot of the Château de Saumur, providing the setting for an unforgettable vacation: guests can watch the sun set over the Loire, fall asleep in a Louis XVI-style room, relax in the Jacuzzi and heated pool, and enjoy a gourmet breakfast in the charming courtyard. Once inside, the first thing you'll notice is the huge, wide staircase that spirals upward, leading to a ceiling painted in 1730 by an unknown Florentine artist. A breakfast room, a bar, and a magnificent book room with a fireplace complete the relaxed atmosphere.

36. Maison Pigalle, 9th arrondissement

Close to the Moulin Rouge cabaret and many cocktail bars, the classic Maison Pigalle (ex-Trinité Haussmann) creates the perfect setting for lively and businesslike neighborhood meetings and an immersion in Paris nightlife. It is located in a typically Parisian neighborhood, and a short metro ride away you can discover the city's most beautiful monuments. The interior keeps it light and warm with spotless white walls, moldings, wooden parquet flooring, and marble in the bathrooms. Its 34 rooms are cozy and suave, reminiscent of elegant Parisian accommodations. Breakfast, including a selection of breads and pastries from Delmontel Bakery next door and cheeses from Maison Frescolet, is served each morning in the cozy lobby lounge, and unlimited coffee and tea throughout the day.

37. The Chess Hotel, 9th arrondissement

Past the modest Rue Elder, perpendicular to the Boulevard d'Italienne, you enter a mysterious place so far removed from the bright facades of other 4-star Parisian hotels that you might as well just walk past. Ring the intercom and walk down the huge corridor to the elevator to find yourself near the reception desk on the first floor. Despite the fact that there are no chess games here, the interior fully corresponds to the name of the hotel: everything is made in black and white colors. Walls, checkered floor, furniture, restaurant create a monochrome refined universe. The realization of this idea belongs to Philippe Starck and Christian Lieger, who sought to combine a luxurious French style and innovative modern atmosphere. The 50 rooms are decorated in a mustard blue color scheme and are adorned with artistic photographs and thoughtful décor.

38. Hôtel Vernet, 8th arrondissement

Tranquility, luxury, and pleasure are three words that describe Vernet, one of the most delightful hotels in Paris. Nestled between the Golden Triangle and Place Etoile, this place has retained its grandeur and elegance for over a century. It presents luxury at its best, from the glass and wood entrance and elevator surrounded by beautiful stained glass windows, to the bright corridors with graphic style furniture and light carpets, to the majestic stained glass dome in the restaurant designed by Gustave Eiffel. The apartments are decorated in a modern version of Zen style, with glass mosaics, Carrara marble in the bathroom, and brass details. The hotel's restaurant offers an open kitchen where guests can watch the preparation of classic French dishes with a hint of innovation that surprises the taste buds.

39. Hôtel Design Secret De Paris, 9th arrondissement

Take an unreal journey through the city without leaving your room at the Hôtel Design Secret De Paris, located in the Saint-Georges district, between Saint-Lazare station and Place Clichy. It has 29 rooms, with 21 of them equipped with a private Jacuzzi. Thanks to the decor, guests can take a surreal tour with their head on a pillow: visit the Palais de Chaillot in the Trocadero, the Eiffel Tower, the artist's studio in Montmartre, the Musée d'Orsay, the Opéra Garnier and the spicy setting of the Moulin Rouge. But don't limit your experience to this and discover Paris for real, then return to your hotel where there is everything to relax after a busy day of strolling the city's sidewalks. Relax and rejuvenate in the wellness center with sauna, hammam and massage and sum up your exploration of Paris' stunning hotels and the city itself with a cocktail at the bar.

40. Hôtel Westminster, 2nd arrondissement

This building on Rue de la Paix, a couple steps from the Palais Garnier Opera House in Paris, was formerly a private townhouse until it was transformed into a beautiful quintessentially British hotel in 1905. After a renovation in 2015, the hotel now has 101 rooms, including 21 suites, with interiors by esteemed designer Pierre-Yves Rochon. He has preserved the atmosphere of the past with antique console tables and clocks, marble fireplaces, and grand crystal chandeliers, giving the space a true charm that doesn't look old-fashioned or outdated. The interior of the Michelin-starred Le Celadon restaurant follows the same bourgeois style. Everything is beautiful here: from the ambience with bookcases, moldings, draperies and stylish furniture to the exquisite menu that rewards diners with a variety of delicious flavors.
