A free viewing platform has been revealed from which you can see the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, and other landmarks of Paris
There is a free spot in Paris that offers views of the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Palais Garnier Opera House, and the Sacre Coeur Basilica. This location is nestled among old buildings and is mainly known to locals.
However, the Insider website has revealed the way to this incredible spot. There's no guarantee that it will be deserted, but it's still nice to know that you can enjoy a beautiful view without paying.
To reach this stunning terrace, you should start your journey from the Opéra Métro metro station. Make your way to the 19th-century department store, where you can browse items from the Dior, Chanel, or Louis Vuitton collections. However, our focus is on the free observation deck.
"To get there, exit the metro at the Opéra station and walk around the back of the opera house. The Galeries Lafayette consists of two main buildings. Enter the building on the right, known as the Coupole. Take the escalators or the elevator to the top floor," explains the travel expert.
"If you find yourself confused by the corridors, you can approach the concierge and explain the issue in English.
Once you reach the top floor, all you need to do is admire the view of the romantic city. From this vantage point, you can see the Eiffel Tower and the tip of the Arc de Triomphe on the right. On the left, you can spot Notre Dame and the Montparnasse Tower".
"If you continue walking to the end of the terrace, you'll be able to see the Sacre Coeur Basilica and the famous rooftops of the Montmartre art district", the tourists were advised.
