A new airline Mexicana de Aviacion opened in Mexico

Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has launched the state-owned airline Mexicana de Aviacion. It was named in honour of the former airline, which ceased operations in 2010.
Travel And Tour World reported that the country planned to provide space for the development of domestic tourism to enterprises related to the military sphere. Thus, it was decided to launch a new airline under the name that the government acquired from the bankrupt company.
For this purpose, an airport in Mexico City to serve passengers (there is a constant increase in the number of people in the city) has already been built. It is noted that the new airline will be controlled by Olmeca-Maya-Mexica, which will oversee trains, airports, and especially Maya Train and Mexicana de Aviacion.

According to Mexican Defense Minister Luis Sandoval, although the airline started its operations with five aircraft, it is currently negotiating with Boeing Co. It is expected that in 2024, the company will be able to order more aircraft to provide passenger transportation services. In this way, the government is promoting the company as a great option for travelling in terms of affordability.
By helping small and isolated military companies to develop in the tourism sector, the government plans to improve its image and make efforts to return the Mexican economy to a more collective one.
It is currently known that the first stops will be the states of Baja California, Yucatán and Nuevo León.
