A rare phenomenon called "split sunset" spotted in Florida. Video
The other day, the sky over Florida "split" at sunset. The city's residents were witnessing a rare phenomenon that not everyone gets to see at least once in their lives.
The sky over the sunny city turned two colors: bright orange and dark gray. The video was posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"The sky in Florida split into two parts. I've never seen anything like it. It's sometimes called a split sunset," the witness wrote.
The network explained that this phenomenon is caused by the shadow of a large cloud below the horizon, which prevents sunlight from reaching the clouds located closer to observers on the ground.
Other people suggested that it was the junction of cold and warm masses. However, some users simply called it a "matrix glitch."
