Travelling on a cruise ship is an opportunity to experience unforgettable emotions. The New Year brings a whole host of new cruise ships that you will want to add to your bucket list.
Royal Caribbean will finally launch its long-awaited Icon of the Seas, which will become the largest cruise ship in the world. It is also worth paying attention to the new ships from Disney Cruise Line, Princess Cruises, the Mirror writes.
Here is a list of new cruise ships to be launched in 2024.
Icon of the Seas, Royal Caribbean
Icon of the Seas is one of the most anticipated cruise ships of 2024. It is 5 times bigger than the Titanic and will become the largest cruise ship in the world when it sets sail in January. Capable of accommodating 5,000 passengers, the ship is almost the size of a small city.
One of the biggest highlights will undoubtedly be the world's largest water park with 6 record-breaking water slides, including one of the fastest in the world, epic near-vertical drops and the world's first family-friendly family boat slide. Other benefits include seven swimming pools, as well as 8 walking areas.
Disney Treasure, Disney Cruise Line
Judging by the way the ship looks inside, Disney Cruise Line is preparing to offer a new wave of world-famous magic aboard the new Disney Treasure.
Passengers will enjoy a host of brand-new experiences, including a Coco-inspired restaurant, a Zootopia candy store, a Star Wars-themed kids club, a submarine pub themed to the movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and an epic waterslide adventure where families will join Mickey and Minnie in ancient Egypt as they descend 760-foot winding tubes in two-person rafts. Disney Treasure is expected to make its maiden voyage in December 2024.
QueenAnne, Cunard
This elegant liner will be able to accommodate 2,996 passengers when it sets sail on its maiden voyage in January, on a glamorous itinerary covering destinations in the South Pacific and Australasia.
On board, passengers can relax in the luxurious Mareel Spa, sunbathe on the sun loungers and terraces, and swim in the aft pool, which also features a pavilion pool.
Utopia of the Seas, RoyalCaribbean
Set to depart from Port Canaveral in Florida in the summer of 2024, Utopia of the Seas has some impressive family-friendly features: five swimming pools, three water slides, a FlowRider surfing simulator, rock climbing, and mini-golf. Meanwhile, gourmets will be spoiled for choice: there are 21 restaurants and 23 bars on board.
The ship can accommodate up to 5,668 passengers on 18 decks. The ship's itineraries will include calls to Royal Caribbean's epic private island with beautiful beaches, water parks and many other attractions.
Sun Princess, PrincessCruises
Princess Cruises' largest ship will be able to accommodate 4,300 passengers when it sets sail on its maiden voyage in February. Among the most interesting places are Spellbound, a lounge with a lounge, bar, music hall and theatre, as well as 29 eateries, a casino, cabins and elegant staterooms. Meanwhile, thrill-seekers will undoubtedly want to visit Park 19, an amusement area with an amusement ride, climbing wall and Infinite Horizon, which allows you to look over the ship's moving glass walls.
SilverRay, Silverseas
The second Nova-class ship for the ultra-luxury liner will debut in the summer of 2024. The sister ship of Silver Nova, which was launched in 2023, boasts 54,700 gross tons and can accommodate 728 passengers.
Vacationers will be able to enjoy gourmet restaurants, luxurious cabins, huge floor-to-ceiling windows with uninterrupted views of the ocean and ports of call, a large swimming pool and an outdoor bar.
