A travel expert named two incredible destinations for vacations with '1990s prices'
Travel expert and journalist Simon Calder affirmed that not all tourist destinations can strain travelers' budgets. If one overlooks the popular Spanish, Italian, and French resorts, one can discover budget-friendly countries that are equally beautiful.
He highlighted two destinations where "prices have remained at the level of the 1990s," and the conditions for recreation have improved. According to Express, in a conversation with This Morning, the travel expert spoke highly of Macedonia and Poland.
According to Simon Calder, Macedonia is "always a friendly destination" where prices have stayed frozen at 1990s levels. He believes that in 2024, this destination will be the most economical, and tourists should not miss the opportunity to fly from Manchester to Lake Ohrid.
"That's 386 pounds per person. That's fantastic. I've been there. It's absolutely gorgeous: lakes, mountains. Friendly people, great 1990s prices for almost everything. Go there for a cheap price," the travel expert recommended.
The country boasts lively metropolitan areas, mountainous terrain, a wine region, national parks, and much more.
Poland also keeps pace with more touristically developed countries, with the only difference being that prices are much lower. If you are choosing a destination to admire the architecture and old streets, this type of vacation in Poland will be much more affordable.
"Prices are back to the 1990s. You'll pay much, much less for everything, and there are a lot of cheap flights. It's not the warmest sea, it's not the Mediterranean, but on the other hand, in July and August, it's absolutely fantastic," the expert described Polish resorts.
