Air Canada has proudly renewed its role as the Official Airline of Team Canada, extending their partnership with the Canadian Olympic and Paralympic Committees through the 2030 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. This renewed agreement includes the upcoming Paris 2024 Games, marking a significant commitment to Canadian athletes and sports.

The announcement was made at an event in Toronto, where Air Canada also unveiled a specially designed Boeing 777 livery to transport Team Canada members to and from the Games. This move demonstrates the airline's dedication to supporting Canadian athletes and sharing Canadian culture globally.

Michael Rousseau, President and CEO of Air Canada, expressed enthusiasm about the extended partnership, highlighting the airline's commitment to providing excellent travel experiences for the athletes. The agreement ensures that Air Canada will support Team Canada for the next four Olympic and Paralympic Games, facilitating seamless travel for over 1,000 athletes and delegation members.

David Shoemaker, CEO of the Canadian Olympic Committee, praised Air Canada's longstanding support, noting the airline's passion and exceptional service. Similarly, Karen O'Neill, CEO of the Canadian Paralympic Committee, emphasized the importance of the partnership in providing top-notch travel services for Paralympic athletes.

In addition to transport, Air Canada will offer various benefits to athletes, including complimentary 35K Aeroplan Elite status and Care & Share packages for added comfort during flights. The airline will also host celebrations at Canada Olympic House and Canada Paralympic House in Paris, showcasing Canadian hospitality and cheering on the athletes.

Furthermore, Air Canada introduced 10 Team Air Canada athlete ambassadors, including notable names such as basketball player Luguentz Dort and swimmer Summer McIntosh. This initiative will continue with new ambassadors for each of the 2026, 2028, and 2030 Games, promoting Canadian values and sporting excellence.

Since 1988, Air Canada has been the Official Airline of the Canadian Olympic Team, and since 2007, the Canadian Paralympic Team. Recently, the airline also became the Official Airline of Swimming Canada and Athletics Canada ahead of Paris 2024, further solidifying its support for Canadian sports on the international stage.
