Air France Adds Hotel-Style Bedding to Business Class for Long-Haul Flights

Air France is set to introduce a new layer of comfort to its long-haul Business class cabins through a collaboration with luxury hotel brand Sofitel. Starting from July 2025, the long haul aircraft fleet of the airline will see a gradual rollout of specially developed mattress pads MY BED that will be inspired by Sofitel’s MY BED collection. By the end of the year, these pads are expected to be available on all international flights, regardless of departure time or route duration.
Before boarding, the mattress pads will be laid out on every seat alongside the comfort items such as blankets & pillows. They are built to be compatible with a wide number of aircraft models and can be safely used for the whole flight phases. Soft grey pads — every time to be cleaned and repackaged so that you can get a soft comfortable surface for sleeping after every flight, packed to ensure hygiene and consistency on all the trips.
The key benefit lies in significantly improved sleep quality. Passengers who fly overnight or on extended flights will likely feel less tired at their destination thanks to the better sleeping space. This change could be particularly valuable for those flying between time zones or who need to be alert shortly after landing, such as business travelers on tight schedules.
This development is also good for leisure travelers as well. Comfort upgrades in Business class offer some relief to the physical discomforts of long haul travel, notably over intercontinental routes. The ability to recline into a fully flat seat equipped with a dedicated mattress pad turns the flight into a more restful and restorative experience, setting a new standard for in-flight rest.
In the highly competitive airline industry driven to suit passenger comfort concerns, Air France changes by bringing personal comforts on board. This update for travelers is not a frill: it signals a larger trend of airlines reconsidering how they satisfy shifting customer needs for rest, solitude and experience in the sky.
