The service began with the departure of flight AK90, which operated with a full capacity on its maiden journey.
This new route will operate four times a week, providing an affordable and convenient travel option for those looking to explore the rich cultural tapestry of Ahmedabad and the dynamic urban environment of Kuala Lumpur. En. Solehuddin Ahmad, Deputy Director South Asia Unit of Tourism Malaysia, expressed his enthusiasm at the launch. He highlighted the importance of this new connection not only for tourism but also for strengthening bilateral ties between the two countries. Ahmad praised AirAsia's commitment to enhancing regional connectivity, which is expected to increase tourist visits and foster economic growth.
This route is anticipated to be particularly popular among travelers seeking new experiences in both cities, celebrated for their unique cultural offerings and historical significance.
