Akasa Air Enhances Connectivity in Uttar Pradesh with New Ayodhya Route
Akasa Air, known for being India's rapidly expanding airline, has initiated its flight operations from Ayodhya, marking its third destination in Uttar Pradesh. The airline now offers daily flights connecting Pune and Ayodhya via Delhi, facilitating travel without requiring passengers to change aircraft. This service commenced on 15 February 2024, with the inaugural flight departing from Maharishi Valmiki International Airport in Ayodhya and arriving at Pune International Airport, incorporating a stopover at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.
Ayodhya, revered for its profound spiritual and cultural heritage, continues to draw visitors worldwide. Akasa Air's latest route aims to meet the increasing demand for air travel in this region, reflecting the airline's mission to bridge metros with non-metro cities across India seamlessly.
Praveen Iyer, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer at Akasa Air, emphasized the significance of Ayodhya in the airline's network, citing the expected boost in tourism and air travel demand.
