Alaska Airlines launches new nonstop flight between Seattle and Toronto
Starting May 16, Alaska Airlines is offering a new daily nonstop flight between Seattle and Toronto Pearson International Airport. This new route makes Toronto the sixth Canadian city served by Alaska Airlines, expanding its network in North America. Tickets are now available for purchase on the airline's website.
The new service provides convenient departure and arrival times, enhancing travel options for both leisure and business passengers. In Toronto, travelers can enjoy the city's culture or connect to other destinations in Eastern Canada through Alaska's partner, Porter Airlines. Connections to cities like Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City, Halifax, and St. John's are available, with more booking options coming this summer.
Kirsten Amrine, Vice President of Revenue Management and Network Planning for Alaska Airlines, highlighted the diverse opportunities this new service offers. Toronto is a key destination for both leisure and business travelers, making this route highly valuable.
Kurush Minocher, Executive Director of Toronto Pearson International Airport, expressed excitement about the new service, emphasizing the increased capacity and enhanced customer choice. Last year, a significant number of passengers traveled between Toronto and Seattle, highlighting the demand for this route.
Alongside Toronto, Alaska Airlines serves Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Vancouver, and Victoria in Canada. This new route revives Alaska Airlines' connection to Eastern Canada, which previously included nonstop service between Los Angeles and Toronto in the early 90s.
Passengers on this new route can enjoy a premium travel experience with Alaska Airlines, known for offering the most legroom in First and Premium Class, no change fees, a generous loyalty program, and a variety of onboard amenities. Inflight entertainment includes hundreds of free movies and TV shows, along with streaming-fast satellite Wi-Fi.
