Alaska Airlines Now Offers British Airways Flight Bookings to London
Alaska Airlines has expanded its partnership with British Airways, allowing passengers to book nonstop flights to London on the Alaska Airlines website starting from June 18. This development promises a seamless travel experience between London's Heathrow Airport and several key U.S. gateway cities.
In an effort to enhance convenience for travelers, Alaska Airlines now offers the option to book British Airways flights directly on its platform. This includes routes from major cities such as Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, and New York JFK.
Travelers can choose from a variety of flights, with options like two daily flights from Seattle, daily flights from Portland, and three daily flights from Los Angeles and Chicago. New York JFK will offer an impressive eight daily flights, providing ample choices for passengers planning their trips to London.
This partnership extension also benefits Alaska Airlines' Mileage Plan members, who can now earn miles when booking British Airways flights through alaskaair.com. For those using the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature® credit card, the benefits are even greater, with triple miles earned on these bookings.
With the busy summer travel season approaching, Alaska Airlines is gearing up by adding around one million seats to its network. This increase in capacity is expected to meet the high demand, especially around peak travel periods like Independence Day, when the airline anticipates transporting close to 160,000 passengers daily.
Neil Chernoff, British Airways’ Chief Planning and Strategy Officer, emphasized the enhanced travel experience this partnership offers, stating, "We look forward to connecting even more travelers between the Pacific Northwest and the UK capital." This strategic move by Alaska Airlines underscores its commitment to providing its customers with more travel options and a smoother booking process.
