Alligator on golf course nearly pushes players into pond
An alligator nearly attacked a group of golfers on a course in Florida. A video of the predator lunging at a golf cart went viral online and has garnered almost 3 million views.
The attack nearly caused people to fall into a pond with their vehicles. As can be seen in the footage shared on X (formerly Twitter), eyewitnesses were not too scared of the alligator, so we can assume that such incidents near the pond are not uncommon.
This wild incident in the Sunshine State could have ended worse if the driver hadn't reacted in time and avoided the animal.
The animal suddenly ran out of the bushes and onto the road where the golfers were traveling, forcing him to swerve and nearly fall into the pond. It is likely that the lake at the golf club is the predator's habitat.
Alligators are known to be common on golf courses in Florida, where they look for food. Usually, these animals do not pose a threat to humans.
As previously reported by TravelWise, alligators in the cold states of the United States hibernate in frozen water bodies.
