This fall, Amazon introduced a new initiative offering Prime members a 10-cent-per-gallon discount at BP, Amoco, and AMPM gas stations across the United States. To access this discount, users must activate the offer through their Amazon account and connect it to Earnify, a service that simplifies discount applications at the pump. At the gas station, members can simply enter their phone number or use the Earnify app for instant savings.

In response to rising fuel prices, Amazon aims to provide added value and convenience for frequent drivers. By 2024, the company plans to extend this discount to electric vehicle (EV) users at BP Pulse charging stations, expanding its support for sustainable travel options. This innovation underscores Amazon’s focus on affordability and the needs of eco-conscious travelers.

In addition to Amazon, other programs, such as GasBuddy, offer similar benefits, especially for RV owners and frequent travelers. GasBuddy's free card can save users up to 25 cents per gallon, though the exact discount varies by location and station. Users need to register through the GasBuddy app, which also offers discounts on food and dining, making it particularly useful for long-distance travelers.

Other companies also provide fuel discounts, giving drivers a chance to save significantly on trips. For instance, the Open Roads program by TSD Logistics offers discounts of up to 30–40 cents per gallon at commercial stations, especially for owners of large vehicles like RVs. GasBuddy, another popular service, provides a free discount card that saves up to 25 cents per gallon, along with added bonuses through in-app purchases.

The IExit app is another useful tool, allowing drivers to view fuel prices at exits along major highways, optimizing refueling stops for maximum savings. Additionally, loyalty programs like Pilot Flying J’s myRewards offer RV drivers up to 10 cents off per gallon, along with discounts on products and services. Such programs offer diversity and added perks for different types of travelers.

For travelers, Amazon's fuel program provides a significant advantage in reducing expenses, especially during peak seasons when fuel costs typically rise.
