An Emirates passenger was tied up after he tried to hit a flight attendant with his head. Video
The incident, which attracted international attention, occurred on an Emirates flight from Dubai to Islamabad.
In a cell phone video taken by Pakistani journalist Amir Mateen, a man wearing jeans and a leather jacket is seen trying to headbutt a flight attendant before two other crew members tie him up to restrain him.
The second video posted by Mateen shows the man being transferred to a wheelchair and told to "drink water" on the tarmac as the plane landed.
According to what the passengers later said, the Pakistani authorities eventually released the man because he was "well connected."
The video eventually went viral and has been viewed nearly 130,000 times. Emirates, which has a reputation as one of the most luxurious airlines in the world, did not respond to questions from the press about what exactly went wrong during the flight.
As TravelWise wrote, Emirates is increasing the number of flights to Seoul by more than 1,000 additional seats per week.
