ANA Adds Milan, Stockholm, and Istanbul to Its Winter 2024 Schedule
All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan's leading airline and a top-rated global carrier, has announced the launch of new direct flights from Tokyo Haneda to Milan, Stockholm, and Istanbul for the winter 2024 season. This expansion reflects the airline's strategy to cater to the growing demand for international travel and strengthen connections between Japan and Europe.
Starting December 3, 2024, ANA will operate its first direct flights to Milan Malpensa Airport. This will be followed by the launch of flights to Stockholm Arlanda Airport on January 31, 2025, and to Istanbul Airport on February 12, 2025. This move marks ANA's debut in Stockholm, making it the first Japanese airline to offer scheduled flights to this destination.
The introduction of these new routes highlights ANA's commitment to enhancing its international network. The Milan route represents the first ANA direct service from Haneda to this Italian city, while the Stockholm flights will increase ANA's European destinations to eight. Additionally, the new Istanbul route will enhance connectivity to the Middle East and Africa through Istanbul's extensive network.
The expansion is part of ANA's broader strategy to leverage Tokyo Haneda Airport's position as a central hub in Asia. Haneda Airport, known for its proximity to Tokyo's city center and efficient international connections, is poised to become a crucial gateway for travelers. This strategic use of Haneda will enable ANA to offer more convenient travel options for passengers, boosting tourism and business travel.
Shinichi Inoue, President and CEO of ANA, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion, emphasizing that it will provide travelers with more options and improve their overall experience. The airline also announced the resumption of flights to Vienna from August 2024, further broadening its European network.
This network expansion is expected to boost travel and business exchanges between Japan and these countries, aligning with ANA's vision of uniting the world through exceptional travel experiences. Tickets for these new routes will be available from July 22.
