Arenaways and Turnit to Improve Rail Travel for Tourists in Italy
Travelers in Italy are set to benefit from a new partnership between Arenaways, known for its role in liberalizing passenger rail services, and Turnit, a leader in travel technology solutions. This collaboration aims to enhance local rail connections in Italy, starting with the Piedmont region.
The partnership will reopen two rail lines that have been inactive for over a decade, bringing back vital transportation links that will support local economies and tourism. Turnit's advanced sales and distribution solution, Turnit Ride, will be integrated to provide a modern, efficient, and user-friendly travel experience. This new platform includes tools for ticket offices, a booking engine, and an onboard app, ensuring a smooth journey for passengers.
Matteo Arena, CEO of Arenaways, commented, "We are excited to start the ticketing service at the end of December this year. This collaboration aligns with our mission to redefine train travel."
For travelers, this means better connectivity and accessibility in the Piedmont region. The reactivation of the regional service lines, including sixteen stations closed since 2012, will enhance local travel options. Starting in January 2025, these routes will offer essential transportation services to both local residents and tourists, making travel more convenient.
Ülo Säre, CEO of Turnit, stated, "We are pleased to work with Arenaways to enhance local rail travel in Italy. Our technology aims to improve the travel experience for all passengers."
This collaboration aims to set a new standard for rail travel in Italy. By combining Arenaways' commitment to service with Turnit's technology, travelers can look forward to an enhanced travel experience across the region.
