Avelo Airlines Leads the Industry in Operational Reliability This Summer

As the busy summer travel season begins, Avelo Airlines stands out for its exceptional operational reliability. In May, Avelo Airlines achieved the top spot for on-time performance and the lowest flight cancellation rate among U.S. carriers. For the first five months of 2024, the airline also maintained its leading position in on-time performance and recorded the second-lowest cancellation rate.

According to Anuvu, a leading aviation data services company, Avelo's on-time performance in May saw 88% of its flights arriving within 15 minutes of their scheduled time. This surpassed the industry average of 72.5% and the second-best airline's 80%. Furthermore, Avelo’s flight cancellation rate was an impressive 0.1%, with only two out of 1,504 flights canceled.

Avelo Airlines' success in operational reliability is a testament to the dedication of its 1,000 crew members. CEO Andrew Levy highlighted that the airline's performance provides peace of mind for customers, especially as the summer travel season kicks off.

Since its inception in 2021, Avelo has focused on serving underserved routes and smaller airports, making travel more convenient and enjoyable for its passengers. In 2024, Avelo Airlines expanded its network with 16 new routes and 11 new destinations.
