In late September, the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, together with Azerbaijan Airlines held a media briefing in Beijing, unveiling new measures focused on enhancing tourism connections. Among one of the key points was the recent implementation of a visa-exempt program for Chinese visitors, alongside the announcement of non-stop routes linking Baku and Beijing, offering greater accessibility for travelers.
The visa waiver policy, effective from mid-2024 until mid-2025 allows Chinese tourists to travel to Azerbaijan up to three occasions within a year, making it easier for travelers to explore the country’s diverse attractions. Additionally, the new direct flights, which started in December 2023, provide a convenient travel option for those seeking to experience Azerbaijan’s rich history, cultural landmarks, and modern developments.
