Belsonic Festival 2024: Navigating Your Way to Belfast's Premier Music Event
The Belsonic Festival is set to make a grand return to Belfast this June, transforming Ormeau Park into a hub of musical festivities from June 7 to June 29, 2024. Featuring performances by global artists like Limp Bizkit, Sting, Take That, and Shania Twain, this festival is one of the highlights of Northern Ireland's event calendar.
This year's festival not only brings a stellar lineup but also comes with important logistical information for attendees. With road closure orders in place for the Ormeau Embankment on all concert dates, festival-goers need to plan their travel carefully. The closures facilitate the parking of all festival buses and coaches directly on Ormeau Embankment, providing easy access to the festival's entrance gates.
For those arriving by coach or bus, the recommended approach is via Ormeau Road. Security at the top of the road will issue each coach a large, numbered pass sheet. This number is essential for passengers to remember, as it helps them locate their bus quickly after the concert. Upon departure, buses are directed to continue along Ormeau Embankment towards Ravenhill Road. This streamlined process is designed to minimize congestion and ensure a smooth exit from the festival grounds.
Buses can drop off passengers on the Embankment and must return by 10 PM at the latest to pick them up. This system aims to facilitate a hassle-free experience for both the attendees and the transport providers, ensuring everyone can enjoy the festival without unnecessary delays.
Aside from the organized coach and bus transport, attendees should be mindful of possible traffic disruptions in Belfast city center. Utilizing public transportation and arriving early are recommended strategies to avoid the rush and ensure timely entry to the festival.
