Best tourist destination named pickpocketing capital in Europe

Pickpockets often target tourists because they may be less aware of their surroundings or carry important documents and a lot of cash.
The Pickpocketing Index from Quotezone.co.uk named the countries where tourists are most likely to become victims of criminals. The results were somewhat unexpected.
Although Barcelona is often considered a place with widespread pickpocketing, Spain is not in the top five.
The first place went to Italy. Tourists often complain that they have been robbed while walking near historical monuments.
