Bon Appétit: Delta Air Lines Adds New Inflight Menu on Flights from Paris to the US During the Olympics
Delta Air Lines has unveiled a new summer menu for its flights from Paris to the United States, coinciding with the 2024 Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games. The airline, renowned for its exceptional inflight dining experience, is introducing chef-curated meals to delight passengers traveling during this special period.
Delta One passengers flying from Paris' Charles De Gaulle International Airport (CDG) to the US can now enjoy a selection of specially designed meals. The menu features options such as roasted chicken breast with chicken jus and artichoke-filled pasta with tomato cream sauce. For dessert, passengers can indulge in a Paris-Brest with praline cream and almonds.
In addition to these offerings, from July to August, Delta One passengers can choose from two exclusive dishes crafted by Chef Guy Martin, the head chef of the three Michelin-starred Le Grand Véfour restaurant in Paris. Chef Martin's menu includes slow-cooked lamb shoulder in rosemary sauce with summer vegetables and haddock with tarragon polenta, asparagus, and buttered peas in shellfish sauce.
Delta’s summer menu reflects a commitment to culinary excellence, partnering with renowned chefs worldwide to offer diverse and authentic dishes. Kristen Manion Taylor, Delta's Senior Vice President of In-Flight Service, emphasized the importance of their food and beverage service, highlighting the goal to balance new flavors with reimagined classics while maintaining high standards of quality.
Premium customers flying Delta Premium Select can now pre-select their meals, enhancing their dining experience with a wider variety of options. Additionally, Delta has collaborated with Chef Jereme Leung to introduce a unique Asian fine dining experience for Delta One passengers on routes such as Seattle to Taipei and Shanghai Pudong, as well as Detroit to Shanghai Pudong.
Domestic passengers are also treated to exceptional dining experiences. For instance, domestic first-class passengers flying from Atlanta can enjoy southern dishes from award-winning chef Mashama Bailey, including Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q’s short rib open-faced sandwich. Delta One customers flying from JFK to LAX or SFO can savor dishes from Danny Meyer’s Union Square Events, such as pastrami short rib with BBQ jus and chicken scarpariello with roasted lemon.
The new menu also includes fresh snack options and health-focused wellness meals. Additionally, Delta’s award-winning rotating wine menu features a selection of specially curated wines from around the world, ensuring a complete and delightful inflight dining experience.
