Brazilian man takes unique photo of Christ The Redeemer "holding" the moon with both hands
Brazilian photographer Leonardo Sens took a series of photographs of the iconic statue of Christ The Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro.
In the picture, it seems that the Son of God is holding the moon with both hands. To get such unique shots, the man had to hunt for them for the last three years. He was close enough to the target many times, but he managed to take a truly unique photo only now, the Daily Mail reports.
Sens explained that he had studied a lot of information and used more than one program to accurately calculate the time and date when the moon would be directly above Christ The Redeemer.
"At the appointed time, I went to this place. All I had to do was set up the tripod and wait for the moon to align," said the lucky man.
His unique photos have made him a star on the social network. They have already garnered more than 137,000 likes on his Instagram account and impressed his followers.
The Christ the Redeemer Monument is 39.6 metres high (28 metres in arm span), weighs 1,145 tonnes, and is located atop the 200-metre-high Corcovado Mountain in the Tijuca National Park. It is considered one of the symbols of Brazil.
