Breeze Airways Launches Breezy Rewards and Expands Routes
Breeze Airways, the premium leisure airline, has introduced its first loyalty program, Breezy Rewards, in conjunction with a new cobranded credit card and the announcement of five new destinations. This marks the first major airline loyalty program launch in the US in years, setting a new standard for rewarding frequent flyers.
The Breezy Rewards program, designed to enhance the passenger experience, allows members to earn points on all Breeze purchases, including flights, upgrades, and inflight services. The program integrates with the existing BreezePoints system, enabling passengers to accumulate points that hold a guaranteed cash value of 1 cent each, with plans to offer higher value redemption options later on.
David Neeleman, the Founder and CEO of Breeze Airways, emphasized the airline's rapid expansion and the addition of five new cities to its network. Since its inaugural flight in May 2021, Breeze Airways now operates in 56 cities across the US, becoming the largest carrier in 11 of those markets. Neeleman expressed confidence in the Breeze Easy Visa, developed in partnership with Barclays, predicting it will become the preferred airline card among Breeze guests.
The Breeze Easy Visa Signature card enhances the loyalty program with features like up to 10X BreezePoints on airline purchases, complimentary inflight WiFi on Airbus A220 flights, and Priority Boarding. The card offers an introductory bonus of 50,000 BreezePoints after meeting initial spending requirements, doubling points on airline purchases, and additional points on everyday spending.
Breeze's announcement also includes the addition of services to five new cities, highlighting its commitment to connecting underserved markets. The expansion includes notable destinations such as Dallas/Fort Worth, Bangor with routes to Florida, and intra-Florida service from Tampa to Pensacola, enriching the airline's diverse route network.
