Britain has extended visas for Ukrainian refugees, with the known term
The UK is prepared to extend the stay of Ukrainian refugees at least until the end of 2026.
There are specific categories of visas for Ukrainian refugees in the country with a validity period of three years, according to Reuters, citing the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
"The first visas of this kind were issued in March 2022, meaning they expire in March 2025. These visas allow refugees to work in the country and provide them with access to education, healthcare, and social benefits," the statement said.
The ministry's decision will allow 283,000 Ukrainians to extend their stay.
In December 2023, the number of Ukrainian refugees granted temporary protection status in the European Union increased by 37,600 people, reaching more than 4 million. The largest increase was observed in Germany, the Czech Republic, and Spain, indicating the continuation of the migration crisis caused by the war in Ukraine.
As reported by TravelWise, Hungary will launch a Golden Visa program this year.
