Despite the quick response, efforts to resuscitate the man were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The deceased was identified by his hotel wristband, and his family and friends staying at the same hotel were subsequently informed of the tragic event.
The Civil Guard has taken charge of the investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the death. A spokesperson for Calvia Council confirmed the incident, stating, "A British tourist aged 49 died in the street this morning in the Magaluf area. It occurred around 4:30 am.
