Brussels Airlines Flies Music Fans to Tomorrowland for 12th Year
For the 12th year in a row, Brussels Airlines partners with Tomorrowland, the globally acclaimed Belgian music festival. This July, the airline will transport over 14,000 festivalgoers from 122 different countries, with Spanish attendees making up the largest group. The initiative includes a significant environmental effort, offsetting 96 tonnes of CO2 emissions through investments in Sustainable Aviation Fuel.
Tomorrowland celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2024 with the theme LIFE, continuing from the 2016 theme "Elixir of Life." Held over the last two weekends of July, the festival will feature more than 800 artists performing on 16 stages at the scenic 'De Schorre' park in Boom. The event is expected to draw 400,000 attendees from around the globe, uniting for an unforgettable musical experience.
A highlight this year is the debut of Brussels Airlines' Amare aircraft. Unveiled in April, the A320neo features an innovative augmented reality livery that comes to life via social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Inside, passengers will enjoy a high-quality sound system and special lighting designed to enhance the festive atmosphere.
"We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Tomorrowland, especially with the introduction of our new Amare aircraft," said Michel Moriaux, Head of Marketing at Brussels Airlines. "This collaboration underscores our commitment to providing unique travel experiences while celebrating Tomorrowland’s 20th anniversary."
The Amare aircraft, added to the fleet in December 2023, exemplifies Brussels Airlines’ dedication to sustainability. It emits 20% less CO2 and generates up to 50% less noise compared to older models. The airline and Tomorrowland promote Green Fares, which offset flight-related CO2 emissions through Sustainable Aviation Fuel and climate protection projects, reflecting their commitment to sustainable aviation.
Beyond the festival, Brussels Airlines offers Global Journey Packages, encouraging travelers to explore Belgium before heading to Tomorrowland. Many festivalgoers visit cities like Bruges, Ghent, Antwerp, and Brussels, enriching their travel experience.
Brussels Airlines also transforms six flights into #TMLpartyflights, featuring live DJ sets at 10,000 meters altitude. The inaugural party flight from Ibiza included a set by Belgian DJ Meaghan Slaets, creating a festive atmosphere even before arriving at the festival.
At Brussels Airport, the celebration continues with DJ performances in the Connector towards Pier A on July 22nd and 29th. These sets provide a final taste of Tomorrowland as travelers head home, ensuring the festival spirit lasts a bit longer.
Brussels Airlines’ initiatives highlight their role in connecting global music fans to Tomorrowland while emphasizing sustainability and innovative travel experiences.
