Carnival Cruise Line Set to Return to Baltimore
Carnival Cruise Line is gearing up for the anticipated return of Carnival Pride to the Port of Baltimore on May 26, marking a significant step in the cruise line’s year-round homeport schedule.
Following a successful week-long cruise from Norfolk, Va., where Carnival temporarily relocated its Baltimore operations after the Key Bridge collapse on March 26, Carnival Pride is set to dock in Baltimore on May 26. The upcoming voyage, a 14-day Carnival Journeys cruise to Greenland, is poised to depart from Baltimore and return to the same port. Subsequently, the ship will continue its scheduled sailings as planned, extending into the spring of 2026.
Expressing gratitude, Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, acknowledged the pivotal role played by Baltimore's officials and dedicated first responders during this challenging period. She also commended the swift response and support from partners in Norfolk, which enabled the continuation of scheduled sailings for guests.
Duffy remarked, "Our priority has always been to resume operations in Baltimore at the earliest opportunity. Through close collaboration with local, state, and federal agencies, we are excited to anticipate a successful comeback."
This return marks not only a milestone for Carnival Cruise Line but also signals a resurgence in maritime activities for the Port of Baltimore. As travelers eagerly await the resumption of voyages, Carnival Pride's imminent return promises renewed excitement and adventure on the high seas.
