China introduces the sale of the EH216-S passenger UAV system
EHang Holdings Limited, a company developing leading urban air mobility technologies, has announced the recommended retail price for its passenger unmanned aerial vehicle system. Sales of the new EH216-S passenger UAVs in China will start on April 1, 2024, and will cost 2.39 million yuan per unit.
EHang reports that this price will meet the needs of the market. In addition, the company is confident that this will help to further enhance the value of the electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft being developed by EHang.
To launch the sale of the EH216-S UAV, the company received a TC type certificate from the Civil Aviation Administration of China and a standard airworthiness certificate, which allowed it to be delivered to the first group of customers. In addition, the world's first unmanned passenger aircraft has completed its first commercial flights and has been recognized as a safe, revolutionary and innovative leader in this segment.
Therefore, it can potentially be used to provide commercial services, such as sightseeing flights at low altitudes for urban tourism and in various situational cases.
