Civitatis Reaches One Million Mexican Users, Highlighting International Travel Trends
Civitatis, a prominent online platform for booking guided tours, activities, and excursions, has recently celebrated reaching one million bookings from Mexican users, with 94% opting for international destinations. This announcement was made at the 48th Tianguis Turístico in Acapulco, emphasizing the company's substantial growth in Mexico and the increasing interest among Mexican travelers in exploring global destinations.
Europe and the United States are the top travel destinations for these users, with Spain, Italy, France, the UK, and the USA leading in popularity. This trend indicates a preference for cultural and historical experiences in these regions, with major cities like Paris, Rome, Madrid, Barcelona, and London drawing the most visitors.
A breakdown of travel preferences reveals diverse choices: 28% of bookings come from couples, 18% from solo travelers, 15% from families with older children, and 14% from groups of friends, showcasing the varied travel dynamics within the Mexican market.
Juan Rosselló, Civitatis Country Manager for Mexico, highlighted the significance of this milestone. "This achievement not only demonstrates the robustness of the Mexican market but also the global influence of Spanish-speaking travelers," Rosselló commented. He stressed the importance of catering to Spanish speakers globally, particularly as Spanish ranks as the second most spoken native language worldwide.
With over 46 million departures from Mexico in 2023, Mexican travelers are increasingly shaping the landscape of international tourism, favoring high-quality, culturally resonant travel experiences provided by platforms like Civitatis. This milestone underscores Civitatis' commitment to enriching the travel experiences of Spanish-speaking tourists globally.
