Combining English elegance, modern comfort, and scenic routes through England and Wales
In July 2025, the Britannic Explorer, Britain’s first luxury sleeper train, will begin its journey through England and Wales. Departing from London, this elegant train will travel through scenic regions such as Cornwall, the Lake District, and Wales. It promises a unique travel experience, offering passengers a new perspective on British landscapes.
The Britannic Explorer's interiors are inspired by traditional English country estates, creating an atmosphere of elegance and luxury. The train offers 18 premium cabins, including suites with oak wood detailing and marble finishes. Onboard, passengers can enjoy meals crafted by a top chef, along with botanical cocktails and craft beers in the observation car's bar.
The launch of Britannic Explorer brings British rail travel to a new level of comfort and sophistication. This initiative aligns with a global trend toward enhancing rail travel experiences. For example, the British Pullman, known for its day trip offerings, was recently named the world's best train by Condé Nast Traveller’s 2024 awards.
Additionally, the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express and The Royal Scotsman are other well-known luxury trains offering unique routes for travelers. The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, which travels between Paris and Venice, features art deco interiors that preserve the ambiance of the 1920s. The Royal Scotsman travels through Scotland, offering excursions to whisky distilleries and castles, with an onboard spa for full relaxation.
For travelers, the launch of Britannic Explorer offers a new way to experience the landscapes of England and Wales. With its thoughtful design and top-tier dining, the train promises a memorable journey focused on luxury and detail, transforming travel into a unique experience.
