Costa Fortuna Embarks on New Summer Itinerary from Athens
The Costa Fortuna set sail from Athens on a new summer 2024 itinerary dedicated exclusively to Greece and Turkey. Until September 13, the Costa Cruises vessel will depart every Friday from Piraeus, Greece, heading to Istanbul, Turkey, and the Greek islands of Mykonos, Crete, Rhodes, and Santorini.
On some voyages, there will be an additional stop in Turkey, at Bodrum, or on the Greek island of Kos instead of Rhodes. This cruise route will emphasize the "Sea Destinations" concept, featuring unique onboard experiences designed to highlight the culture and traditions of the cities and islands visited.
Passengers will have the opportunity to explore Athens and its most iconic sites, as well as traverse the Corinth Canal, passing through rocky gorges and vertical walls to reach the ancient city of Corinth.
Istanbul will be presented from various perspectives, including a boat tour on the Bosphorus. In Mykonos, a local farming family will introduce passengers to rural traditions and local recipes, culminating in a sunset barbecue.
In Bodrum, a tour on a typical local boat known as a "gulet" is planned, while in Santorini, guests can attend a lunch featuring traditional plate throwing. Until September 2024, Costa Fortuna will continue to delight its passengers with this unique itinerary, opening new horizons and offering unforgettable experiences.
