The Czech Republic intends to increase the speed limit by up to 20 km/h on some highways. Previously, the maximum speed that could be reached on the roads was 130 km/h, and soon it may rise to 150 km/h.
The decision may come into force over the next few years. This is stated on the Post Online Media website.
The plan is to first raise the speed limit only on a few sections of the highway, each of which covers tens of kilometers.
