Delta Celebrates Team USA with a Custom A350 Aircraft Reveal in Toulouse
In a significant event held in Toulouse, France, Delta Air Lines unveiled its Airbus A350 aircraft adorned with a custom Team USA livery. This grand reveal occurred on May 2, celebrating Delta's ongoing eight-year partnership with the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee, which will continue through the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
The ceremony was particularly special as it marked the first participation of Delta’s Chairman’s Club honorees. This group consists of 100 top-performing employees from various company divisions, recognized annually for exemplifying Delta's values. These peer-nominated individuals were not only part of the audience but were also the first to fly the newly designed aircraft, signifying their integral role in the company.
This bespoke aircraft livery represents more than just aesthetic appeal. Designed by Delta's in-house team, the livery incorporates elements such as the jet stream transitioning into the Eiffel Tower, symbolizing momentum as the airline gears up for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The color scheme retains the iconic red, white, and blue, maintaining a connection to the previous design used during the Beijing 2022 Games but with forward-looking enhancements.
Beyond the aesthetics, the event underscored the shared values of hard work and dedication between Team USA athletes and Delta employees, as highlighted by Gina Laughlin, VP of Global Communications at Delta. The airline’s commitment to these athletes extends beyond mere sponsorship; it involves active support and celebration of their stories of perseverance and resilience.
