Delta Launches New Nonstop Flights from Orlando to London Heathrow This Winter
Starting October 26, Delta Air Lines will introduce a new seasonal service from Orlando to London Heathrow, providing European travelers with another option for reaching Florida. This route will operate four times weekly throughout the winter season, making Orlando the only city in Florida with direct Delta flights to the U.K. during this period.
This new service is part of Delta's broader strategy to expand its network between Florida and Europe. It complements Virgin Atlantic’s daily Orlando to London Heathrow service and adds to Delta’s existing winter flights from Orlando to Amsterdam and the newly announced Tampa to Amsterdam route.
"In partnership with Virgin Atlantic, our new route between Orlando and London seamlessly connects two diverse destinations," said Matteo Curcio, Delta’s Senior Vice President for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India. "Londoners can escape to the sunny beaches and world-famous attractions of Orlando, while Floridians can explore London’s historic landmarks and world-class dining."
The new Orlando to London Heathrow service will run until March 29, utilizing an A330-900neo aircraft. Passengers can expect a range of onboard experiences, from Delta One Suites with lie-flat seats to Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin services. All customers will have access to Delta Studio's in-flight entertainment options, as well as onboard Wi-Fi and free mobile messaging.
Delta’s flights to and from the U.K. are coordinated with joint venture partners Virgin Atlantic, Air France, and KLM. This winter, Delta and Virgin Atlantic will operate up to 187 weekly flights from London Heathrow to 14 U.S. destinations, including Miami, Tampa, and Orlando in Florida, as well as major hubs such as Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, and New York-JFK. Additionally, Virgin Atlantic offers year-round service from Manchester and seasonal flights from Edinburgh to Orlando.
This new route aims to enhance travel connectivity for European passengers, offering convenient access to both the cultural richness of London and the vibrant attractions of Orlando.
