Delta Launches Premium Select Service on JFK-LAX Flights
Delta Air Lines is set to introduce its Delta Premium Select (DPS) service on select flights between New York’s JFK and Los Angeles’ LAX this fall. Starting September 10, the service will be available on four daily flights, expanding to more routes later in the year.
Delta Premium Select will feature upgraded seating and in-flight amenities on Boeing 767 aircraft. The introduction of this service marks the first time Delta offers DPS on U.S. transcontinental routes, traditionally a feature on international flights.
Maurico Parise, Delta's Vice President of Brand Experience Design, stated that this new offering aims to enhance passenger comfort on one of Delta's key domestic routes.
The service includes new dining options, memory-foam pillows, and noise-canceling headsets. Delta also plans to offer fast, free Wi-Fi on all JFK-LAX flights by the end of September.
SkyMiles Medallion Members will have access to complimentary upgrades to Delta Premium Select, similar to the upgrade process for First Class.
This move is part of Delta’s ongoing investment in its New York and Los Angeles markets, aiming to provide an enhanced travel experience for its customers.
