Joaquin, a Spanish flight attendant working at London Gatwick Airport, leaves money and cards in his shoes. He is convinced that thieves will never think to check other people's shoes.
Other safe places include hairbrush handles and empty bottles. For example, money can be placed inside used, washed and dried shampoo. The hygiene products will definitely not be stolen.
To scare away unwanted guests, experts advise leaving the TV on, creating the illusion of being in the room.
