During the IndiGo flight, a bomb threat message was found: the threat was discovered in the restroom
A disturbing incident occurred aboard an IndiGo flight from Chennai to Mumbai. On Tuesday, February 13th, a note threatening a terrorist attack was discovered in the aircraft's restroom.
According to the police, the alarming message, written on tissue paper, read, "There is a bomb in my bag; if we land in Bombay, everyone will die. I am from a terrorist organization." This note was found just 40 kilometers before the Mumbai airport, as reported by Khaleej Times.
Upon receiving the bomb threat, local law enforcement and other emergency services promptly responded. The aircraft landed safely, and all passengers were swiftly evacuated.
Fortunately, a thorough inspection of the aircraft revealed no explosive devices.
"After receiving this threatening note, local law enforcement and other emergency services were alerted. Upon the aircraft's landing at the airport, all passengers were promptly disembarked, and the aircraft underwent inspection, but thankfully, nothing of concern was found," stated the police.
The Mumbai airport police have filed a case against an unknown individual and have initiated an investigation.
