EasyJet Launches New Route from Liverpool to Malta
easyJet has announced a new year-round route from Liverpool John Lennon Airport to Malta, starting December 10, 2024. The flights will operate twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Sundays, providing a new travel option for passengers.
This new route to Malta is the fourth addition to easyJet's Liverpool network in the past year, following new services to Enfidha in Tunisia, Hurghada in Egypt, and Corfu in Greece. Malta, known for its stunning coastlines, clear waters, and abundant sunshine, offers a range of activities for visitors, from cultural tours to beach holidays and scuba diving.
In addition to flights, easyJet holidays offers package deals to Malta, featuring all-inclusive resorts such as the 4-star db San Antonio Hotel and Spa for families, and the 4-star Seaview Hotel in St Paul's Bay for adults. These packages include flights, hotel stays, 23kg of luggage, and transfers for beach holidays.
Ali Gayward, easyJet's UK Country Manager, expressed enthusiasm about the new route, highlighting the increased travel options for customers in the North West. Paul Winfield, Aviation Director at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, also welcomed the new service, noting the potential for growth in flights to Malta from the region.
easyJet currently bases seven aircraft at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, handling around 2 million passengers annually and offering up to 340 flights weekly to 27 destinations. The airline, which began operations nearly 30 years ago, now serves 21 UK airports and offers over 500 routes to more than 120 destinations in Europe and beyond.
easyJet holidays provides a wide selection of over 7,000 hotels across Europe and North Africa, with travel dates available until the end of October 2025. Their packages include the Ultimate Flexibility policy, allowing changes to bookings, a refund guarantee, and a best price guarantee.
