Emirates and Condor Announce New Codeshare Partnership
Emirates and Condor airlines have announced a reciprocal codeshare partnership set to begin in October 2024, pending regulatory approvals. This new agreement will enhance travel options for Emirates customers by providing seamless connections through Condor flights from Germany to popular destinations like Mallorca and the Canary Islands, as well as international locations in North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean.
The expanded partnership will see Condor adding its DE airline code to select Emirates flights departing from Dubai, thereby offering Condor customers new travel options to numerous destinations across the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, and the Indian subcontinent. The activation of this codeshare agreement will align with the launch of Condor's new route between Berlin and Dubai in October.
The agreement was formalized at the IATA Annual General Meeting in Dubai by Adnan Kazim, Emirates Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, and Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor, in the presence of senior management from both airlines.
Volker Greiner, Emirates Vice President North & Central Europe, added that the new codeshare agreement is part of Emirates' strategy to add significant value for customers through robust partnerships. With Condor’s new daily flight between Berlin and Dubai starting in October, there will be a daily codeshare service between the German capital and Dubai. Additionally, Emirates’ Skywards members in Germany can earn miles on Condor flights and redeem them for bookings.
The partnership builds on a reciprocal interline agreement signed by the airlines in November 2023, which improved connectivity on 70 routes in Europe, Africa, Asia, Australasia, and the Middle East. Passengers can book flights via the Emirates and Condor websites, online travel agencies, and major GDSs in travel agencies.
