EMR Summer Sale Offers Big Savings for Travelers
East Midlands Railway (EMR) has unveiled its Summer Sale, presenting a golden opportunity for travelers to save on journeys across its extensive network, including routes to London, Manchester, and Norwich. This sale aims to make travel more accessible and affordable during the peak summer season, encouraging more people to explore the UK by train.
Starting July 15 and running until July 28, the sale offers over 100,000 discounted tickets with up to 50% off on selected Advance fares. These tickets must be booked at least seven days in advance, for travel between July 29 and September 1.
For travelers, this sale means more affordable access to popular destinations. London St Pancras, a hub for sightseeing, shopping, and cultural experiences, can now be reached from various locations at reduced prices. For example, tickets from Wellingborough to London St Pancras start at £10.30, while a trip from Sheffield to London begins at £20.70. London offers iconic attractions such as the British Museum, Buckingham Palace, and the vibrant West End theatre district. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a leisurely stroll through Hyde Park or experience the culinary delights at Borough Market.
Similarly, Manchester, known for its vibrant nightlife, sports venues, and rich history, becomes more accessible. Discounted fares include £4.80 from Sheffield to Manchester and £24.20 from Norwich to Manchester. Manchester is home to the famous Manchester United Football Club and the historic Manchester Cathedral. Visitors can explore the interactive exhibits at the Science and Industry Museum or enjoy a night out in the trendy Northern Quarter, renowned for its independent bars, cafes, and music venues.
Norwich, famous for its medieval architecture and charming streets, is also part of the deal. Travelers can find tickets from Grantham to Norwich starting at £10.60 and from Liverpool to Norwich at £26.50. Norwich boasts stunning sites such as Norwich Cathedral and the picturesque Norwich Castle. The city is also known for its vibrant arts scene, with numerous galleries and theatres, as well as the lively Norwich Market, one of the oldest and largest open-air markets in the country.
According to Simon Pready, EMR's Commercial Director, the Summer Sale is always a hit with customers, and this year is expected to be no different. With such great prices available across the network, it's a fantastic opportunity for people to explore new destinations or visit favorite spots.
For those planning a trip, this sale not only offers significant savings but also a chance to discover the diverse attractions across England. Whether it's a cultural trip to London, a historical exploration of Norwich, or an energetic weekend in Manchester, the reduced fares make these experiences more accessible.
Travelers are advised to book early, as the discounted tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are expected to sell out quickly.
