Finnair will unveil its brand-new, more spacious Finnair Lounge on the Schengen side of Helsinki Airport on July 9, 2024. The lounge, located near gate 21, promises to enhance the travel experience with unparalleled comfort and convenience for travelers.
The new lounge reflects Finnair's commitment to improving customer experience, providing a significant upgrade in space and amenities. Ole Orvér, Chief Commercial Officer at Finnair, highlighted that the lounge caters to the feedback from Finnair Plus tier members, including an exclusive Finnair Platinum Corner for Platinum and Platinum Lumo members.
This state-of-the-art lounge will accommodate up to 440 guests, offering approximately 150 more seats than the current lounge. Finnair Business Lounge access is available to Business Class Classic and Flex ticket holders, as well as Finnair Plus Gold members. Additionally, travelers can purchase lounge access as a travel extra during ticket booking, via Manage booking, or through the Finnair app.
Meri Järvinen, Head of Airport Customer Experience, noted that the lounge is designed to cater to various needs, with spaces dedicated to dining, working, resting, and socializing. The design, orchestrated by Studio Joanna Laajisto, embodies Nordic serenity with natural wooden textures, soft forms, and warm colors that reflect the Finnish landscape.
The new Finnair Lounge features furniture from renowned Nordic design brands such as Artek, Nikari, and Gubi, adding a touch of local craftsmanship. Guests can also enjoy spectacular views of the runway and the airport gate area, enhancing the overall travel experience.
The opening of this lounge marks a significant step in Finnair's ongoing efforts to elevate the passenger experience, ensuring that travelers can relax and unwind in a serene, stylish environment before their flights.
