Finnair Reveals New Schengen Business Lounge at Helsinki Airport
Finnair is set to open a new business lounge at Helsinki Airport on July 9th, providing enhanced facilities for its premium passengers. The spacious lounge, located on the Schengen side of the airport near Gate 21, will accommodate up to 440 guests, offering more capacity and comfort compared to the existing lounge.
The new lounge will feature two distinct areas: a Business Lounge and an exclusive Platinum Corner for Finnair Plus Platinum and Platinum Lumo members. This new facility addresses customer feedback and aims to provide a more comfortable pre-flight experience.
The lounge will be accessible to business class passengers with Classic, Flex, and Saver fares, Finnair Plus Gold, Platinum, and Platinum Lumo members, oneworld Emerald and Sapphire cardholders, and passengers who purchase lounge access. Platinum Lumo members can bring four guests, while Platinum and Gold members can bring one guest and any children under 18. Additionally, Business class passengers and Finnair Plus Gold members can upgrade to the Platinum Corner for a fee.
Designed by Helsinki-based Studio Joanna Laajisto, the lounge's interior reflects the serenity of the Nordic landscape with warm colors, wooden textures, and round shapes. The space includes separate areas for dining, resting, and mingling, and offers a view of the runway and gate area, enhancing the airport experience for premium passengers.
Finnair's Head of Airport Customer Experience, Meri Järvinen, emphasized that the increased space and tailored areas within the lounge will meet various passenger needs, from dining to working and relaxing.
