Frontier Airlines Enhances Connectivity with Volaris Codeshare Renewal
Frontier Airlines has officially resumed its codesharing partnership with Volaris, expanding travel options for customers to over 40 destinations throughout Mexico. The Denver-based ultra-low fare carrier announced today that, effective immediately, passengers can book codeshare flights for travel starting May 16, 2024.
Based in Mexico City, Volaris connects an extensive network of destinations, including Mexico City, Cancún, and Los Cabos. This collaboration allows Frontier customers to conveniently plan their travel across this diverse network via the FlyFrontier.com website and the carrier's mobile app starting from May 8 and May 9, respectively.
Barry Biffle, CEO of Frontier Airlines, expressed enthusiasm about the renewed partnership, highlighting the shared commitment of both airlines to providing affordable and convenient travel options. According to Biffle, "Volaris is an excellent, well-established air carrier, and like Frontier, is focused on providing convenient, affordable, and friendly air travel."
This partnership is also a strategic move for Volaris, reinforcing its operations across 44 cities in Mexico and 29 in the United States and Central and South America. Enrique Beltranena, President and CEO of Volaris, emphasized the mutual benefits of the collaboration, stating, "This collaboration... not only expands the travel options for Frontier customers but also reinforces Volaris' commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and offering an extensive range of destinations between our two nations."
As the travel industry continues to evolve, partnerships like this one are crucial for expanding service offerings and enhancing the customer experience. This codeshare agreement not only facilitates easier travel across borders but also exemplifies the growing trend of strategic partnerships in the aviation industry aimed at broadening service networks and improving accessibility for travelers around the globe.
