Gamers Rejoice: New Game Lounge to Open at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport
Travelers passing through Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP) will soon have a fun new way to spend their pre-flight time. Starting in early 2025, a new gaming lounge designed by Gameway Inc. will offer passengers the chance to enjoy their favorite video games in a state-of-the-art facility, making layovers and waiting times more enjoyable.
The new lounge will span 3,000 square feet and feature a variety of gaming experiences. Casual gamers can relax in comfortable seating with consoles, while competitive gamers can engage in e-sports. The facility will also offer virtual reality consoles and private business pods equipped with high-speed internet. This lounge aims to blend entertainment and functionality for all types of travelers.
Gameway already operates gaming lounges in airports such as Los Angeles (LAX) and Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), and the MSP lounge is expected to open in January 2025. Passengers with airline status or Priority Pass memberships, or those who pay for access, can enjoy the lounge for up to one hour.
This project, approved by the Metropolitan Airports Commission, sets MSP apart by offering a unique gaming experience that goes beyond traditional airport lounges, providing a fresh way to entertain and engage passengers before their flights.
