The event began with a free concert at the NDSM site in Amsterdam-Noord, featuring the National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands and pianist Nikola Meeuwsen, followed by a lively jazz performance by the Roaring Cats.
Tolhuistuin in Amsterdam-Noord served as the central hub for the festival, hosting nearly 50 concerts along with a daily live broadcast of the radio program "Earbites" from NPO Klassiek. The Grachtenfestival continued until August 20, featuring performances at various iconic locations across the city, such as Tuinpark de Bretten, Rembrandtpark, and Huis van de Wijk De Aker. Last year's event drew over 25,000 visitors, with the festival typically attracting around 50,000 attendees each year.
