Greater Anglia has issued important travel guidance for those planning to attend the Latitude Festival, set to take place from Thursday, July 25 to Sunday, July 28 at Henham Park in Suffolk. The closest railway station to the festival is Halesworth, situated on the East Suffolk line between Ipswich and Lowestoft. Festival-goers are advised to travel to Halesworth, where they can catch a shuttle bus to the festival site.

Latitude Buses will operate these shuttle services, ensuring a seamless connection from the station to Henham Park. To assist travelers, additional staff will be present at Halesworth station, ready to provide ticket information and general travel advice. For the convenience of festival attendees, some services on the East Suffolk line will depart earlier than usual on July 25, 26, and 29, allowing for increased passenger numbers at Halesworth. Travelers are advised to check their schedules in advance to avoid any inconvenience.

James Reeve, the Area Customer Service Manager at Greater Anglia, highlighted the environmental benefits of train travel and the company's efforts to facilitate a smooth journey for festival-goers. Despite the additional carriages, services are expected to be busy, especially on July 29 when attendees head home. The new trains are longer and offer more seating, but passengers should be prepared for high passenger volumes.

To streamline the travel experience, Greater Anglia advises buying tickets online or through their app before the journey. Group travelers can save with GroupSave discounts, and passengers should use the entire length of trains and platforms for smoother boarding and alighting. For travel enthusiasts, this guidance means a more organized and enjoyable journey to one of the summer's most anticipated events.

Ensuring that tickets are purchased in advance, checking train schedules, and utilizing available travel resources can make the difference between a stress-free trip and one fraught with delays and inconvenience. Travelers can book rail tickets atGreater Anglia website and find more information about the shuttle bus service at Latitude Buses website.
