Historic moment: the first flight of Fly Jinnah from Islamabad to Sharjah
The first international flight from the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad, was operated by the low-cost airline Fly Jinnah. The route was to Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.
The inaugural flight on the new route attracted significant attention both at Islamabad International Airport before departure and at Sharjah International Airport, as reported by Associated Press Pakistan.
During the inaugural flight on the new route, Fly Jinnah executives and a group of travel agents were on board, along with representatives from the media and social networks. The opening ceremony of the new flight at Sharjah International Airport was greeted with a traditional water cannon salute.
Following this, a welcome ceremony was held at Sharjah Airport, attended by Pakistan's Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, as well as senior management representatives from Sharjah International Airport and Air Arabia.
"Yesterday marked an important milestone for Fly Jinnah as we inaugurated our first international flight after a successful year of domestic operations. Sharjah's location is an ideal gateway to the United Arab Emirates due to its proximity to the rest of the country," emphasized Fly Jinnah.
The airline also stated its plans to expand travel options for its passengers and reaffirmed its commitment to offering convenient and affordable service.
As mentioned in the article, the Pakistani low-cost airline currently operates a fleet of five Airbus A320 aircraft. In addition to the recently opened international route to Sharjah in the UAE, the airline currently connects five major cities in Pakistan: Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, and Quetta.
Fly Jinnah offers customers affordable and value-for-money travel experiences through its onboard SkyCafe menu, which includes a wide selection of delicacies such as snacks, sandwiches, and meals at affordable prices.
