Holidays in Spain have risen significantly in price: reasons
During 2023, prices for hotel accommodation in Spain increased significantly. Vacationers in different parts of the country had to pay a record price.
Hotel room prices are rising in proportion to food prices, staff salaries, utility costs, etc. USA News has reported how much hotels have risen in price.
The average room rate in July this year reached 128.8 euros per night, which is 6.3% more than in the same month last year and almost 25% more than in July 2019 (102 euros).
For five-star hotels, the price at the height of the summer season rose from 212 euros to 298.6 euros. Tourists staying in three- and four-star hotels also felt the price increase.
Hoteliers explained that they were forced to raise prices not because they wanted to get rich, but because of rising electricity tariffs, food prices, higher employee salaries, etc.
Inflation in the country has forced hoteliers and guests to adapt to new realities. However, along with the rise in the cost of recreation, they are trying to improve conditions and services for tourists.
