IHG Hotels & Resorts Expands Staybridge Suites Brand Across Europe
IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the addition of more than 380 rooms to its Staybridge Suites brand across Europe. This growth includes the signing of new properties in Budapest, Hungary; Antwerp, Belgium; and Belfast, Northern Ireland. These agreements highlight the increasing popularity of the extended stay segment among both hotel owners and guests.
These new additions to the Staybridge Suites portfolio will maintain the brand’s ethos of providing spacious, residential-style living spaces. Each suite will be equipped with a full kitchen, allowing guests to prepare their own meals, and will feature a range of amenities including a 24-hour fitness room, convenience store, complimentary laundry facilities, and storage lockers. Guests will also enjoy a daily breakfast buffet, light snacks, and a thrice-weekly evening social event, The Social, which offers complimentary small plates and beverages.
Willemijn Geels, Vice President of Development for Europe at IHG Hotels & Resorts, commented: "The three latest signings follow the opening of Staybridge Suites Cannes Centre, France, in December 2023. This shows the great appetite for our all-suites offering across Europe as we meet a growing need for trips that blend business and leisure, or for guests staying multiple nights seeking both productivity and relaxation."
The new Staybridge Suites properties in Europe include:
Staybridge Suites Budapest - Parkside, Hungary: Set to open in 2027, this 152-room hotel will be located in Budapest’s 13th district. Developed by UDI Group and managed by Mogotel Hotel Group, it will be part of a mixed-use development offering easy access to the city’s business and leisure attractions.
Staybridge Suites Antwerp, Belgium: Scheduled to open at the end of 2026, this 99-room hotel will mark the brand’s debut in Belgium. It will be conveniently located near the train station, city center, and diamond district, appealing to both business and leisure travelers.
Staybridge Suites Belfast, Northern Ireland: Expected to open towards the end of 2027, this 132-room hotel will be part of the Bedford Yard development. It will offer stunning views of the city from the upper floors and will be the fourth IHG property owned by Andras House.
Additionally, Staybridge Suites will debut in Spain later this year with the opening of Staybridge Suites Malaga. This new property will feature 105 suites and will be part of the Urban Sky project, providing state-of-the-art facilities for guests.
